Description

Learn about the horrors of the Holocaust on a guided tour of Sachsenhausen, a concentration camp near Berlin where hundreds of thousands of political prisoners suffered under the Nazi regime.

Cancellation Policy

  • Any cancellations made between 6 business days (10:00 local time) to 2 business days (10:00 local time) prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 50% of the total amount.
  • Any cancellations made after 10:00 local time, 2 business days prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 100% of the total amount.

As your guide takes you to the camp's many rooms and locations, hear stories about the heartbreaking realities of prisoners' lives. They endured starvation, disease, forced labor and systematic extermination until their tragic deaths. The camp also houses the "pit" where victims were left to rot.

Special Camp No. 7
By 1945, the Sachsenhausen concentration camp was turned into the Soviet Special Camp No. 7 which was purposed as an internment camp for German prisoners at the end of World War II. The prisoners of the Special Camp amounted to 60,000 with 12,000 dying from starvation and disease.
